Set within the grounds of a former priory, the cottages offer a tranquil rural retreat while remaining conveniently close to local amenities and many of the region's most popular attractions.

We are ideally located between Angoulême and Cognac, both around 25 minutes away by car.

The market town of Rouillac is just 5 minutes away and offers supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, cafés and all essential services.

The area is perfect for exploring the Charente's rivers, vineyards, historic towns and family attractions, with easy access to canoeing, cycling, swimming, markets and beautiful walking routes.

Getting Here

The Courtyard Gîtes are easy to reach from several regional airports. La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Limoges and Poitiers airports are all within 1 hour 30 minutes’ drive, making travel from the UK and elsewhere in Europe straightforward. For guests travelling by train, Angoulême TGV station is just 25 minutes away and offers direct high-speed connections to Paris (around 2 hours) and Bordeaux (around 35 minutes). Car hire facilities are available at all of these airports and at Angoulême station, making it easy to continue your journey and explore the beautiful Charente region at your own pace.
